TSUNAMI: THE WAVES OF DISASTER

WHY such unstoppable waves originated? Many will say and believe that was because of the earth quakes that struck. But there were hundreds of earthquakes on earth but how many of them resulted in TSUNAMI THE UNSTOPPABLE WAVE. According to Hindustan times at least 216,858 people were killed, one dozen countries were hit, and the Indonesian province of Aceh suffered the most.

One thing that came out of this is that the mankind can fight with any disaster that comes in their way, even if the battle is one sided. Till date more than 75% of the 13.6 billion in donor pledges has been received.

DISASTER STRIKES WITHOUT ALARM

Katrina, Wilma, Rita all have shown that disaster can strike anywhere in the world. It does take care into account whether the country is developing or developed. It can even fail the disaster management teams of the world.
After the TSUNAMI many said that the loss was massive, also because tsunami striked the developing countries. But the Katrina, Wilma and Rita have shown that natural can fail the disaster management teams of the developed countries and the strongest economy in the world.

SC/ST QUOTA IN TECHNICAL EDUCATION

On one side the government says that they are against the differentiation on the basis of caste, color and creed and on the other side they give reservation to the SC/ST. THEY are differentiating between the general and the SC/ST, THEN after they complete their education then they also have quota in the GOVERNMENT JOBS .IS this not differentiation on the basis of the caste?.
The government should give reservation to the poor people, the orphans rather than giving reservation on the basis of the caste.

MEN AND WOMEN

Who’s better in between them? No one can answer that there are examples where men proved themselves better than women and there are examples as well where women has proved that they are better than men. So what do you have to say?

According to me there are more number of cases where men have proved themselves better than women, so they are better. I want to tell you all one more thing that in DTC buses In Delhi there are seats fixed for women. On one side people or Politian’s say that men and women are equal and on the other side they are making women weaker. Instead of seats reserved for women they should reserve it for old age people, people with disabilities without considering them as men or women. I am not saying that DTC buses does have reserved seats for these people but they are small in number as compared to the seats reserved for the women.

WHY Saurav was not in the team? This is the question that many people were asking from the selectors. A man who led the Indian team to the semi-finals in the last world cup is struggling for his selection in the team in the next world cup. Many people will not believe that around the world, but it has happened in India. A player who has 15000+ runs to his credit at the international level, who has been the one of the most successful captions India has seen. This is right that he was not performing up to the level but He must be treated with more respect.


I F selectors are selecting the team on the basis of performance than from my point of view they must first select the best eleven than select the captain from that eleven .They should specify the minimum average the batsmen should have in the fixed number of matches to be in the team, if someone fails to do that take another batsman from reserve. Same should be done for the bowlers. As in today’s situation fielding is very important as well so they can start a point system. Where equal importance is given to all the three aspects of the game, then the minimum points should be specified. THE player who does have the specified points should not be in the final eleven and the player from the reserve is selected. The points to the reserve player should be given on the basis of their performance at the domestic level.
